I presume that you mean that I need to remove the plastic cover under the steering column which then gives me access to the ignition switch. Could not see the two screws but did discover that if I unplug one of the connectors under the column that the dinging stops, but then also loose power to the panel. What color and size of wire did you remove?
Think I am going dingy with this problem.
On edit, I have checked the key cylinder and it pops out OK, but lubricated it anyway. Even with it out, that darn dinging still continues. It will stop if the steering wheel lock engages.
