Its a pain to get back in but once you figure it out its not to bad... I had to do it twice with my 95 contour once when installing new struts, and the second time was uninstalling the struts. it kept popping out. turning it like a steering wheel back and forth while pressing in will get it to pop back in. Temparory fix its missing a pin or something Not really sure what holds it in as I never fixed mine. Just popped it back in and let the strut hold it in.
