touche.....i stand corrected, however, with a 4:3 aspect ratio, if you start watching hi-def programming and widescreen formats, you will miss parts of the picture on either side...not necessarily noticeable until you start watching programs or movies with that might pop up something that tells the location or setting like in a movie and if that graphic is off-center, it can cut it off because hi-def and widescreen, TRUE hi-def and widescreen is delivered in a 16:9 format....
