I drove past the bodyshop this morning, and it looks like they painted the WHOLE rear SVT bumper that is going on my 96 SE. I asked them to leave the "insert" area around the exhaust cutouts black, like it is stock  Is everyone thinking on a red SVT the rear bumper looks better fully painted, or stock look?

I think it looks good. I dislike the matt black finish of the stock lower portion.

No way dude, the diffuser is what makes the rear of our cars. Since the rear end stands so high, the diffuser makes it look better by making the rear look shorter, plus you have the groundeffects stand out too.
Never liked the whole painted bumper look. It looks TERRRRIBLE in my opinion.

Red is the only color I'd leave it that black finish...well on black of course it's painted already, but silver and green I'd paint it.

I think SIlver is the only car that looks good having it painted. Red, I dunno... I always liek the diffuser panel the matte black, I woul dhose that area down with tire shine to make it stick out. COme to think of it... not sure if I have ever seen a rear bumper painted ALL t-red. Might look good with some black or silver mesh.

The plan is to get the car back today. I have silver mesh and I'll take some pics. I found some pics of a red SVT that had it painted, but the mesh was painted too, I'm not sure if I'll [censored] about it yet or not

Im not a fan of the matt black and not sure about painting it body color. But I do like having it painted gloss black!
