Get the metal around it hot without getting the flame directly on the small pin and you should be able to pull it out with large pliers. Once the small locking pin is out, you should be able to do the same with the large pin.

yeah well I only got SFH, but it did the trick. I tried to heat it up and be delicate w/ it, but both broke off inside. So I drilled them out and JB-welded screws in their place. I'm not quite sure how it will hold yet.

the pins seemed to be made of a relatively soft alloy, so I replaced them w/ aluminum bolts: they will not corrode and hey, they are lighter and I wanted to justify the actions of moderator who decided to move the thread to performance section
