Anyone know where I can buy a set of these Mondeo Ghia headlights for my 99 SVT?

Could these be HID Xenon lamps?

Thanks,
Martin

They don't fit. They are much taller than Contour headlights. You could, however, put real HID lights in your existing housings. David Z has done it with good results. The only snag was a polarity issue with the plugs.

That top one is a picture of a Contour with regular headlights. They have taken out the orange refector. There has been at least one person that has purchased those Mondeo headlights. They do not fit. The Mondeo ones are taller and they are deeper. Yes, they look VERY similar, but they won't fit.

I imagine if you do some carving on the first quad-lamp lights, you could get them to maybe fit. I am very good at fabricating and modifying stuff like that, and it could be done. If anybody wants to send me a set to get to fit, I'm up for it. I know my way around the Contour headlight system fairly well smile

I would certainly like to give it a shot myself. Anyone know where I can buy a set?

Thanks, laugh

OK - I found these lights. They are not stock Mondeo Ghia headlights but an aftermarket lighting kit made by Morette. They are not HID; I guess the car in the photo above has blue bulbs. I may order some of these to see how they fit in my 99 SVT but I would really like to hear from someone who has tried this before. They're a little expensive at 295 British Pounds (about $420) but I think they look hot.

Those are real HID lights and NO the Mondeo light do not fit without extensive modifications.

I can do the extensive modification. Someone send them to me, and I will get them to work. You pay shipping.

Hey.
Looking at the Mondeo 1 lights, is it possible that these will fit on a pre-98 mystique? They look like the same opening as my car.
I wonder...

Do we really have to do the rating system?
