i'm not disagr. with you mark..i just picked a city that came to mind in that area..you might not have alot of cegers in the area, but you'd have the southeast(fla, carolinas, georgia, etc),how many of them came to the one in fort wayne........you'd also get more of the ceg from pa,ny,nj.etc...

Mark hit the nail on the head with the fact that it's not just about where we draw the most people, it's where we can get a meet set up by people that are going to do a great job on everything, a great location, and where we're likely to garner the biggest crowd.

I know the SE guys get the short end of the stick in the fact that they've got a decent sized active group, but the fact remains that it's not centralized enough to draw people from all over the US. The guys out west have the same problem, but that's just the unfortunate event when we have a nationwide group of enthusiasts. I'm all for attending events and am willing to drive, but it's hard for even me to justify 20+ hours of towing/driving to get to an event for 3 days and I'm probably one of your more likely candidates for going from this distance.

Considering that the great lakes area is a pretty big concentration of CEG'ers if it were farther away some may not attend, in which the attendance may drop quite a bit.

And those are the ideas we like to hear

One idea leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to a friggin' awesome time at Spring Zing!!

All Jim and I can do is tell you what we have to offer, which I think between the sponsor's donations, the door prizes, the freebies, etc..., that we know how to get the most of your YOUR(CEG) dollar. Having organized the event this year, we also know what needs to be improved on, and no matter how awesome the event was this year, we can always improve somewhere. We really like hearing everyone's ideas and enthusiasm, and would really like to do it again for next year. Not to mention, Dynotech was extremely impressed with our group and Phil sent me an email, telling me he'd be honored to have us again next year.

Ya know, I am going by the "no feedback is good feedback" in this scenerio. I never received any calls from Sharon or Tricia at Amerisuites, saying they had any problems. Maybe they got word from the caterers that I tipped well, and that was enough to let it fly . But really, I think all hotels expect large groups to have fun, be loud, get roudy, so I don't think it was anything new. I do know that Jim & Marcia Bailey were more than happy to accomodate us. They're both awesome people, and I wouldn't hesitate to request the use of their parking lot next year.
