However, if your keeping your car stock, the Stage I or OEM is perfect.
Isn't the the Kevlar one that's a no-no?
Keep it stock, kid. Without a very nicely done 3L or F/I you'll never need more.

I searched for hours one night reading and what not about real world experiences with this clutch and our car. The majorit y (only a few people_ running it didn't have any problems with it. At the time with what I had planned it was a good middle ground. Originally posted by Auto-X Fil: Originally posted by RTStabler51: Spec Stage II w/ SPEC Flywheel. I never liked the feeling of a stock SVT clutch. Always felt like it slipped shifting fast. This is both with my car when I got it, which had a new clutch not long before I bought it, and on my friends SVT, which had a new clutch also. That's why I bought a SPEC Stage I.

Centerforce Duel Friction and it holds up great against the 2.5L Turbo. Fairly smooth engagement, if ur not careful, it will grip it and lurch u forward. Wonderful clutch.

Spec Stage III is the only clutch for high power! The hotter it gets the more it grips. You could use this beatch in a semi and it wouldn't slip. Nice thing is that it has worn very nice, hasn't damaged my flywheel at all and it is very streetable for the most part. I have it apart right now. I was about to post some new pics of the longer term, 2 years and about 10K mile update. After putting it in late spring 03, looking at it late winter of 04 and then looking at it now, I'm sold on its durability and fact that it wears so well with the stock flywheel.

spec stage II in my 3L, has been in there for about 4k miles with no trouble. I like it, though it is overkill for my setup

Stock clutch with 86,600mi on it and I absolutely hate it.
Not any good for the drag strip brcause when it gets hot it will slip into 3rd and 4th. Rattles like crazy sometimes too.
