I hate the argument that immigrants are a burden on this country. Immigrant workers are doing the jobs that white america is too proud to do. They are working unbelievable hard for not so great wages. They are even a benefit when they are illegal. An illegal has to use a social security number that isnt their's. They pay social security and other taxes that they get no benefits from. The only people that I see as a drain are those that [censored] and whine about it. The people that [censored] about it most are those that believe that these immigrants are stealing their jobs. Wake up! immigrants work [censored] jobs. You were born in this country and were provided with the chance to do better. If you are stuck washing windows, packing meat, or cleaning up stuff most of us dont want to touch.....get another job. it is not their fault that you are both stuck in a [censored] job and they are willing to work harder for less money. Welcome to America!
There is more to this argument than you think. You cant learn English overnight. Becoming a US citizen takes longer than you think. How much free time do you think they have to adjust to the American culture and language if they are working 60+ hour work weeks in some [censored] factory. Most of the immigrant families that I know are made up of tax paying hard working people wher both parents balance full time jobs and raising children.
