Freakin' love it.
The Execs like me, the Directors I report in to adore my work, I set my own hours most of the time, I get to pick my clients (internal and external) to a degree, set my travel, month of vacation (more if I want but anything past 4 weeks is unpaid), damn good $$$, home office when I want, the challenges constantly change, I get to see a large variety of business segments (public and private), etc., etc.
It's a constant learning experience that's an absolute joy to take part in for the most part.
As long as I'm bringing in revenue and keeping customers happy, the company could care less what I do with my time. Sometimes this means maybe working 10 hours/week; others it means putting in 90+ hours/week. Disclipline rules, though; those 10 hr work-weeks usually have me digging up new prospects or feeling out companies to partner with.
