Well, the 3rd gear grind is going bye bye!  . I took the car in on Monday telling them that it would grind into third gear and that going into 1st gear is a bit tough (Even after RELIGOUS trans flushes). So, what is Jerome Duncan Ford (Michigans #1 Ford delaership) doign for me?! Well, I have Fords Premium Care extended warranty with a 50.00 deductable and they DECLINED the repairs. Jerome Duncan was appauled as to why they would do such a thing, so my service advisor called me and told me. I was a bit shocked becuase I was expecting a 50.00 bill for this.. not 1500.00 like it was going to be. So, my service advisor talked to the Service manager about this issue, looked at my past vehicle service records and I just got an email back. Originally posted by JeromeDuncanFord:

This just goes to prove that not all Ford Dealership are out the rape you. This is my 2nd experience with Jerome Duncan in jsut a couple weeks where they have bent over backwords and took it for the customer.

take that 05 mustang and RUN!  ps Mr. Chad? what are you a chiropractor or something? that or it sounds like this service manager is the guy behind all these internet email scams.

V6 Auto base model... no thanks. 
WEll, it was actually Mr. Chad (last name)... I ALWAYS get MR. in front of my name... I don't see who wouldn't, it's the proper way to adress a person.

Not thus far, they have allthe parts ready and the trans tech is tearing it down as we speak. They may have it done tommorow morning. My boss knows its getting the shift towers replaced. SO, he said if we have to, we'll do it on Friday. 
Yeha, he put shift forks for some reason... I think he meant to say Shift towers. Hey, he jsut runs the palce, he probably doesn't know what a clutch is.

Wow! You guys do have a good dealer over there. My brother got a recall letter about the Cougar fuel pump a year or so ago. He called Star LM in Southfield. They said he'd have to pay the service/dig. fee unless the pump was found faulty. If it was determined the FP was the source he wouldn't have to pay. He's like F it because it was wasn't giving him issues. Fast forward to last week when I had the car doing maintenance. I was accelerating hard w/ 1/4 tank. Was was bogging. Fill it up issue gone. So I call every dealer in GR and they all said no problem getting it done w/o any $. They just asked if it was showing symptoms. I just said yes and all was good to go. I would have liked to have done the FSVT pump but why spend $ and get dirty if I don't have to?
