Actually, single stage paint has the clear mixed in with the paint.
Don't know what part of town you're in, but you could also hit up local car shows and speak with the owners. Most of the time the cars on display will have info on where they may have had the car painted. Hit up classic car shows, lowrider shows, euro shows, etc. til you find the paint job you like and want.
