yep, that reminds me. single stage paint. no clear coat i believe, or maybe just one. mine looked nice, although it was white. the other cars i saw there looked ok too.

for a few hundred more you can probably get a real paint job from a real shop. i would go to many places and get some estimates. you may be suprised at what you can find. stay away from the shops that do lots of collision work or look reallllly nice, theyll charge a lot. try to find someone who knows what theyre doing and needs the work. i know there are guys who do it out of their homes and some will rent a booth to do it. saves big $$. but then again, where i live there are about a billion paint shops. maybe take it to a voc ed school and get it done for peanuts
