I'm looking at their website and for $599 it seems they do a pretty decent job. They don't do the jams or anything, that's extra. Any feedback on the job they do?

they do minimalist prep work. i had a paint job done at a similar shop, Car Coa, about 10 years ago on my truck. it looked really good when it came out and still looked good over a year later. with some body work i paid about $900 IIRC. at a real paint shop it would have run at least $2k. which wasnt worth it for an old truck that wasnt worth anything. i was happy with it. would i have my csvt painted there? if youre looking for a basic, cheap paint job, check your local vocational schools that teach auto body prep and paint. theyll probably do it real cheap and might even put more effort into it.

god, when I was a kid (admittedly many years ago), he used to run commercials on tv. paint any car, $29.95! if you have a beater that you want to improve the looks of, that's ok, but do not expect quality work. they make their money from volume. push as many cars thru as fast as you can.
contours, deloreans & fiats, oh my!

If you do the prep work yourself it might be ok.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. But then, within a year or so,you're probbaly going to see paint chips and peeling clearcoat on your hood and bumper, such as my car is suffering from, after getting what seems like a Maaco paint job 6 years ago after an accident.

It's not just the prep work. I believe they use single stage paint (like Maaco).
But, some people can't tell the difference between single stage and base coat/clear coat. Also, depends on the shop. I've seen some pretty decent single stage jobs and I've also seen some that look like it was sprayed with a rattle can.
Best thing for you to do is go down to the shop for yourself and see the work that they're putting out and if it'll satisfy your needs.
