The 93-94 Crown Vic's were known to have a problem with leaky valve seals. I'm hoping that the Sea Foam will clean and perhaps re-condition the seals. My local mechanic neighbor mentioned to me that Sea Foam can also clean sticky rings, and sometimes stop oil consumption by freeing up the rings.

We'll see if it helps.

Ran it through the escort. The smoke was cool. The big vacuum line wouldn't suck enough and the small one would make the car stall too easy, so a friend gave it gas while I held the line in the seafoam and it made it go a lot quicker. I guess it might help, the engine ran good already. I plan to change the plugs because I hear that it can foul the plugs running it through.

That SeaFoam stuff works wonderfully. I ran it through my Turbo'd CSVT and it not only runs smoother, but i noticed better gas milage as well. Also, some better power. My sister did a write up on it for her car(Eclipse GS-T) and I have a video of the smoking, pm me if ur interested.

Tonight I ran a second application through the Mystique. It smoked as much as it did the first time. As before, I couldn't even see to drive for a while.

After the second application, it does seem to be running smoother. When I give it a lot of gas, especially in fifth gear at low rpms, it seems to be much smoother. I don't know why this would be, but the engine doesn't seem to vibrate as much at the low rpms as it used to do.

With all the smoke that I got out both times, I figure there's more inside where that came from. It's hard to believe there was enough "something" inside the engine to produce all that smoke.

Don't you think it's the sea foam doing most of the smoking?

Well, I would have thought that, except that when I ran an application through my Taurus, I got almost no smoke. I treated the Taurus just like the other vehicles, and the other three all smoked to varying degrees. But, I only got a little puff of smoke out of the Taurus. If it was the SeaFoam that was smoking, I would think that the Taurus would also have smoked.

Also, the three "smokers" tended to smoke for several minutes, perhaps as long as 6-10 minutes in some cases. I don't see how a few ounces of SeaFoam could possibly take that long to burn. I believe the SeaFoam is made of volatile organic solvents, such as acetone, toluene, xylene, etc. My understanding of chemistry was never all that great, but I think those materials should burn fairly rapidly and fairly clean.

that's because the smoke coming out is actually the carbon burning off.....its not just the seafoam that's causing the smoke....it is the seafoam helping to burn the carbon off causing the smoke...your taurus didn't smoke much probably because it didn't have much carbon buildup..
