Here's the breakdown:
(Not really sure how it's "Easy" for Stazi, but anyways...
1. Plugs-Autolite/Motorcraft whatever you fancy= $4 a popx6=$24(double plats)
2. Wires-Motorcraft-Anywhere from $65-85 However the Ford Racing wires ae cheaper- I think $50 or so, but that's an iffy.
3. Tb clenaing-carb cleaner-$2-3
4. New air filter-Motorcraft-I think they're like $10-12
So you're looking at a bit over $100. You can definitely do the filter, plugs, and tb cleaning yourself. Wires will require the removal of the UIM, if you're up for it. Ask one of the guys in you're area, I'm sure the wouldn't mind helping you out.
Please state these are US $$$$. Up here it much more than that.
Autolite plugs for 6 is $50-65 and Stock Motorcraft are around $16 each for the V6.
Wires are anything from $75 to stock (dealer) $150.00
400 sounds high but Ford parts up here are very brutal.
If you want to stay with Ford contact RedlineZ (CEG member) he works for Ford
and has been getting some good prices for us in Toronto. Send him a PM.
He got me O2's at $91 each listed at $145 for Stock Ford ones.

That isn't a bad price for what you listed to be done. You most certainly can do it for much less yourself.
