I check mine every time I open the hood ... which includes filling washer fluid and even just admiring the engine 
This FAQ might be a good place to briefly mention the different types of leaks too. i.e. gaskets or drain plug and so forth.
Maybe dig up a couple of the test results threads that were kicking about some months ago and link them as proof specific to Contours.
