Hey, I've seen some pics of SVT's with the heating/ac control panel but in white instead of factory black. How did you guys do this? I think its an awesome mod, hopefully not too difficult to do. I like how it matches with the white faced gauges... I can't recall seeing any threads on a how-to... confused

BNMotorsports

I believe they are $35 plus S&H. From what I hear, they are easy to istall, but don't have first hand experience, yet. This is probably the next and last mod for me.

This is Tim's (My99svt)installed.

Ok, I don't know why the pic didn't work, but you can go to his website and then click on pics.

Here's a picture of mine. You can get the panel from Brad at BNMotorsports for 35 +6 s/h. They are not too bad to install, but it does take a little time and patience.

Looks good! I just ordered a set off BNM. I hope it isn't too bad installing. It will be well worth it I'm sure. I love the look of it! How long did it take and why is it so difficult (if it is) to install??

The install isn't bad from what I know of it. It just takes time and patience to do it correctly which I beleive is to remove the center console and then the lower cover of the dash which allows you to peel off the old HVAC panel. So it's not difficult just takes a little while.

Well I just did it and I can say its not the easiest task in the world. You need to take the whole middle console out, Be carefull you dont pull your ebrake boot too hard and snap the connectors like I did. Pull the boot over the ebrake. Also when you go to take off the old black sticker pull slow and gentle...I ripped mine off fast and It took forever to get the plastic clean to apply the new one. All in All it came out good, and it looks great during the day, but when you put the lights on I wasn't too impressed. It kinda lights up the whole background of it. Im still glad I did the mod though.. Good luck. Patience is everything.

I agree with Mike. The install was easy and overall I am impressed, it looks great during the day. However not quite oem quality at night. But a very nice job still, Brad!

For the OEM at night I used some 25% tint to back the face and it is a near perfect match color wize to the stock gauge face, not as harsh.
