Why spend $7500 on a new car just because your current car broke and it'll cost less to fix it?
Christ,I paid $600 after trade in for my '95 Contour and I've spent like just over $3000 in repairs. Everything was fixed for about a month (I only bought it in May) and now my passenger side CV joint is just beginning to click.
Just put a new tranny in it. It's cheaper than a new car. I bought a used transmission for $450 and had it installed for $500. Go find one from a wreckers and find someone who will install it that ISN'T a dealer.
