1: wash car with Dawn
3: wash car with Dawn

Use sucessive coats of Z5 until you are happy with the amount of swirls left (of lack there of). Yes, Z2 and Z5 can be applied I such a mannor, but I e-mailed Sal and he said multiple Z5's until you are happy with the lack of scratches, then multiple Z2's until you are happy with the shine.

But you've got the Z6 idea down as well. Couple more notes.

End with Z6.
It takes up to 24 hours to let the Z5 or Z2 dry, then another 24 hours before you can apply the next coat.
It can take as little as 1 hour for Z2 or Z5 to dry it the car is sitting in the sun, but you still have to wait 24h before applying next coat.
Z6 can be done either right after taking off Z2/Z5 or right before. No time contraints.

I didn't drive the car I was Zainoing, left it in the garage for the week. If you have a garage (but have to drive the car), you can apply a coat after work, then take it off in the morning before work. You're better off waiting until a sunny day to apply so that it can dry quickly, though. If you have to drive the car between coats, apply the Z6 right before the next application of Z2/Z5 so that the surface is clean again.

Check out this to join ZA.

ok last question...sorry guys...just trying to be perfect.

So I apply 5, wait 24 then apply 6, wait 24 hrs then apply 5, wait 24 hours, then apply 6...ect??

I'm asking if I have to wait 24 hours every time I apply 6 too??

thanks!

Opps, I meant Z2 there. I fixed my post.

No. Z6 has no time limits. Can be done 30 seconds after Z5/Z2 or 30 seconds before before. Just 24h between Z5/Z2 coats, even though you are applying something in between. You just may have to wait quite some time to let the Z2 or Z5 dry before removing it. Low temperatures and higher humidity lengthen the drying time.
