Just finished washing and polishing my car, and now I'm paying for using the polish found at Walmart. I used Turtle Wax Finish 2001, which before I had really good results with. well, they must have done something different, cause it didn't do worth CRAP! mad

So, other than Zaino (I don't want to order), what does everyone suggest? Thanks a lot, and thanks for listening to me complain. frown

Um, why don't you wanna order the Zaino? You will find none better on the market. Well, other than Zaino, I would try Meguiars Gold Class, Zymol, or anything from The Wax Shop. IMHO, none of these hold a candle to Zaino (JVT, president of the Zaino Freaks Club, as well of the numerous members of this club, will also attest to this :D), but if you choose not to go with Zaino, remember the old adage: "You get what you pay for". I am sure you now know this considering the $5.00 bottle of Finish 2001 you surely have in the trash can by now.... laugh

Hey, you know what? This is the first time I ever really looked at the Zaino order form, and it isn't as expensive as I was expecting! laugh Sooo...what do I need here? The "Zaino Show Car "Polish Lok" Pre-Cleaner & Gloss Conditioner" and the "Zaino Bros' Show Car Polish for clear-coated paint?" Is that all as far as waxing goes? Thanks a lot!

Here we go:

(thx for the comment T-Red smile

Dis what you need:

Z1 - polish lock
Z2 - polish
Z5 - scratch/swirl remover/polish
Z6 - gloss enhancer
Z7 - car wash (you *HAVE* to use this carwash, nothing else. other washes will strip the Zaino)

Buy a Mothers Clay bar treatment and clay
the car. $20 at the local Autoparts store.

Now, here's the important part...

You MUST follow the directions to a
T. And I mean do it EXACTLY how Sal says.

Also read the tips and tricks.

Use 100% Cotton towels made in the USA, don't be a cheapa$$ smile and go buy the
expensive ones. they'll run you ~$15, but
it's a small price to pay for what you will
get.

Ditto for applicator pads. Better yet, get
the ones from the website. $3 a pop.

Make sure you wash the car with Dawn to
strip the wax, clay the car, wash with Dawn
detergent once more.

Well, just read the Application procedure on
the website. smile

Again, you *MUST* follow the directions, otherwise you'll be wasting your time. Trust
me on this. Don't miss ANYTHING they say.

Print out the directions.

I can guarantee you taht you will be amazed.

When in doubt, post here, I'll respond. Don't assume anything, ask me. Worship
thy Zaino master! smile

Damn I sound like a freak. Wait, I am a freak.

Oh, and just to give you an indication how good Zaino is, a Miata website has actually
been trying to outlaw any Zaino posts in the
Car-Care forum, because every response is
the same. Zaino, Zaino, Zaino, Zaino.

Visit the Car Care section of www.corvetteforum.com , and you'll see why
this stuff ROCKS!

Ever sentence must start in "Sir" and end in "Sir"! Is that understood? The correct response is "Sir yes Sir" LMAO!!

Yes, you need to follow the directions to a T. Quick tip on the towels: If tyou have a Sam's club anywhere near you, you can buy a 6 p[ack of the exact towels Sal talks about (Fieldcrest/Cannon) for less than 20 bucks. Cut the borders off of them amd Wha-la! The only expensive part of the Zaino is the initial buy. Then all you will need after that is to replenish what you use the most. More than likely that will be the Z-2, Z-6 and Z-7. Small price to pay for Instant gratification.

JVT, do you think all that time Zorro was cutting Z's into everything cuz he too was a Zaino freak? Food for thought!!!

Is Zaino expense and time worth it on a silver car? Admittedly the results are awesome on a darker car, but will i really see a difference from 3 step Meguiars on a silver car? What about Zymol? Don't want to pay brokerage fees for nothing...

JVT...question for you...

Have you ever tried good quality 100% cotton t-shirts to buff off the Zaino? I know it says to use towels, just wondering.

Oh and BTW...I AM a Drill Sargent...really! eek
