My 99 Contour has been sputttering like its going to stall when I put it in reverse. This only happens when the engine is cold and I am backing out of my driveway in the moring. Also whats a good price range for having the timing belt replaced ?

Check for vacuum leaks - not fun but it caused most of my problems. As for the timing belt, going price around here is $225-$250.
