When I was working in Circuit City a few years ago a guy bought a computer and paid in all $2 bills. It was a bit of a pain because of all the counting but was certainly a neat sight.

Stores are required to take all legal tender (but pennies) I believe. Although I do believe there is a stipulation that large amounts of coins have to be rolled.
