I sold my 93 Honda Accord for a 95 Contour SE (Duratec, 5-Speed). Most of my friends said I was crazy to give up a Honda for a Ford, but I'm glad that I did. I love that Contour! It is more fun to drive (faster), has more options and gets better gas mileage than the 4 cylinder Honda. How can I complain? It appears to me that a used Contour is one of the best deals out there for the money.
I just noticed a 95 Contour SE with 71,000 miles on Ebay for less than $1500. You couldn't touch a 95 Civic or Accord for less than $3500.
