That's pretty thin evidence for saying you "believe" something, isn't it? It gives the term "faith-based politics" a new meaning.

Frist stood up in front of the world's media and made a statement about Schiavo. It was a statement that was almost certainly planned in advance and vetted by his staff. Then, in the interview with Lauer, Frist flat-out denied he said it. Now you are telling us it's not a lie because he "got his past words mixed up"? You are telling us Frist made a highly controversial public statement about this very high profile matter, got all kinds of publicity for saying it, and then somehow forgot it just a short time later? Isn't it about fifty times more likely that he was trying to whitewash his foolish and erroneous statement about Schiavo, and Lauer caught him out?

Jesus Christ, Davo, isn't it embarrassing to pledge allegiance to the least logical explanation of events, just because of your political bias?

I also think there's a little bit of stretching going on here. 'Based on footage...she responded' and 'seems to respond' seem like quite the step to 'she responds'.

Huh? Davo, if you are going to base your argument on a distinction so microscopic that only you can see it, it helps if you explain to us why you made the distinction. Otherwise, everyone just assumes you are making false distinctions.

You Republicans really need to learn to pick your battles. It seems odd to waste your dwindling supply of credibility defending Frist. I was equally suprised awhile back to see the CEG Brownshirts defending Senator DeLay. Davo and other Republicans shout "Seig Heil" for Tom DeLay.

If the Republicans find themselves in political trouble in the near future, it will be because they failed to jettison the real extremist nutjobs from party leadership positions. Extremists like Frist, DeLay and Santorum are political liabilities to the Republican party. They turn off almost every normal, moderate voter in America.

It is just absurd for you to imply that Bush's opponents must be incorrect simply because they are motivated by their political differences with Bush. Yes, Democrats are busy documenting and publicizing the lies of the Bushmen. That's a fact. But that fact does not logically support your argument that Frist did not lie in this instance.
