That's what i'm leaning towards as well, bullet....I would say check the fuses again...because I know that the turn signals and the actuator thing to get it out of park are on the same fuse.
Also...a tip...if you ever blow that fuse and dont have extras, you can stick a screwdriver under the passenger side of the console and move the lever manually...use the screwdriver to feel around, then push back....then with the other hand, shift the ATX out of park.
If you lose your turn signals, the hazards are on a different fuse, so I would use those as a signal when turning/changing lanes.
Not sure how it all ties into the fan not working though...
