Has anyone commented on how loud the horn on your car is? I've scared a couple of people when I lock the car. My brother think the previous owner put in aftermarket ones. I hear other Fords and they have a deep tone and mine is a higher pitch almost like a Ferrari. Are there any pictures of the factory one?

Not had comments about how loud, but how weak sounding my horn is. Anyone know of a good inexpensive replacement?

I can not stand the girlie little stock horns. I need to upgrade to something loud and mean. Some of these michigan drivers deserve it. Can you just get them at auto stores and what not?

Many tours, especially the later ones only have one horn. They sound a lot nicer with two. The easiest way to end up with two horns is to buy the FIAAM freeway blasters. They are slightly different in tone and a bit louder. The FIAAM normal horns are the same volume as stock. Whichever FIAAM you use, normal or freeway blaster, you should still buy a pair. They will sound better matched. Every OEM combination has a slightly different tone and if you mix and match they may or may not sound OK.
I thought the stock horns on my car sounded a bit weak so I bought a pair of freeway blasters. While mounting them I experimented with different combinations and ended up using all four, two original and two freeway blasters. The tone is better then either set by itself, and finally, it seems loud enough.

I have the Hella dual tone horns on mine from BAT. They're plenty loud. I never have anyone who doesn't hear them......

ug... the factory horn was SO embarassing... i usually would just rev the engine or yell out the window. In a prior post about horns, Stazi recommended the Hella dual electrics. I REALLY like the sound of them and I now look forward to honking at all the morons on the road!

I agree that factory horns are totally out of the question. I honked at some guy ages ago, and still to this day I run away from horn 'situations'. It's very embarrassing, like being 6' 6" and when some guy starts something, thrwoing the handbag at him
