The Koni kit is also a nice looking option.

Bilsteins will H&Rs with give you the most "race" like ride. It's a very stiff combination. It sacrifices the most ride quality because of this.
This is a trade off some people will not like and others will love. I love mine.

H&R's and Koni's!

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

pete, why not konis and h&r. bilsteins arent adjustable but how do they compare to konis. r bilsteins the same as the softest koni setting? mid? full stiff setting? anyone know? the koni sport kit looks to be a great deal. matched struts and springs with adjustable struts

It did kind of leave me wanting more, but I wouldn't go stiffer or lower around my way as most of the roads are pretty chewed up.

but I would say BAT struts with Eibach springs, because that is what I have and I like it

I had Eibachs and Konis in my 98 SVT but after about 3 years (just recently) it started to clang and bang as it had slowly been losing fluid in most of the struts. I usually kept it about 25% up from the softest setting. Anyway I didnt want the Konis again and went with the Bat kit as I found the Eibachs just too low.

I have them in and I have to say that I'm dissapointed. It feels like the car is 100% bone stock, just 1" lower. Maybe thats how it should be but its not sporty in the least. In fact, the fronts feel softer than the rears. When I hit a big dip on the highway, the front tends to wallow around more than the rear. I also replaced strut mounts at the same time to be sure as well as all end links.

Anyway if you want bone stock and a tad lower, then the Bat kit is great but I think if you expect any performance, go with something else.

You didn't think it was stiffer than stock?

I went from stockers to the BAT kit...granted my stock springs and struts had 60k on them and one spring had the bottom coil snapped off....but, it feels a good amount stiffer...not crazy stiff, but definitely sportier IMO...all I wanna do now is get an SVT rear sway bar as the finishing touch.

The BAT kit is definately firmer than stock. The reduction in roll & dive is evidence of that. GREAT combination of struts & springs. Compliant & smooth, but damn it makes for a nice performance improvement. Other than adjustable Koni struts, best combo you can get without sacrificing too much comfort for daily driving & touring.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I don't know if you have a SVT, but I was just wondering if you or anybody knows how big a difference the BAT kit is, compared to stock SVT setup, handling-wise - as big as a difference, comparing a V-6 SE to a SVT??
