Consider that at some point you will want a web-site ... check what .com domains are available for your list of names.
I've seen many companies that have had to register names for websites that do not bare relevance to their company names, and it does have an off-putting and confusing effect on customers.
Secondly, what ever you call it, throw "A." at the start. The old myth about being first in the phone book is still true ... especially in a city where there may be hundreds of companies to wade through.
Check what the competition use, and try not to use the same name style as them.
Have something, if you can, that infers quality, professionalism, and 'larger than you really are' size.
Finally, as I'm finding out now, do not pick a company name that is too big to put on your car/truck as a sticker!!! Remember you don't need to have a cool and ingenious name, it mostly has to describe what you do in one 2 second glance.
Oh yes ... you might want to think about how people ask for contractors in your line of work. For instance, I'm a network/security consultant, but (especially in rural areas) I have to put "Computers" in my business name so that those not "in the know" understand what I do. Having done this for some time, I would now pick a name like "Perth Computer Doctor", trading to business' as "PCD" (banks will happily take cheques with initials).
Also, thinking about it now, I find that terms like "consultant" and "contractor" can be off-putting to a portion of your average consumer.

I have always thought Craptacular Inc. was a good name.

I like the WWJW? idea. You could have a graphic of a man neeling down praising his new roof.
