No functional changes on the 2004 block. The only change coming up is for the 2005 block. They will be added a dowel hole for the CVT transmission for the Freestyle & Ford 500. BTW, the 3.0L for these cars will also have a cast crankshaft. (Not forged as you guys are used to).

Wow! Talk about going cheap this late in the game! The duratec has been around 10 years and they are going to start making cast cranks now. Better hold on to the old cranks and engines just for this reason.
