I was thinking about putting tint across the taillight/reflector strip on my 99 svt, anyone have recommendations about this or pics? Thanks!

Journie, where did you get the spray tint? I was going to try it this weekend if I could find some.

The tint your speaking of is called "Nite shade" and is in a silver bottle with a guy w/ sunglasses on. I had this stuff on the tailights of my 87 GN and used about 3 coats and it looked sweeeet laugh During the day you still could see red even w/o using the brakes and at nightime it was perfect! Just an FYI...oh yeah they sell it at Ramchargers or probably any big automotive chain.

Who is interested in some blackouts for just the taillights? What you do with the reflector is up to you. They will work for all years Contour and Mystique.

These will be a byproduct of one of my projects for this summer.

Thanks for the replies so far. I did not know that it was a spray. I thought it was window tint applied to the surface. Do you think that AutoZone sells the spray? How is it applied, just tape and spray away? Also, if anyone has done this and has pictures, I would like to see them [just for refrence purposes]. Thanks guys!

What you should do is to go to the auto parts store, buy a can of black spraypaint, tape it off and spray 2-3 coats on. Worked like a charm for me and I get compliments all the time. Here is a pic:

Not to bad I say ... I kept the actual lights red because cops in my area give tickets for that stupid sh**. But the reflector is gay, so I got rid of it.
