Anyone in O.C. have any interest in setting up a meet? Let me know, we can all spearhead something.
Thanks!

we discussed having a "large" so cal meet a few months back, like in LBC or something but interest seemed to have waned. SD and nor cal appear to be where meetings-interest is oc would be the most central location for SD peeps and LA peeps to join in on the fun. LBC just has the cool speed cafe (or whatever its called). im sure i could also garner interest from teh SHO guys as well. there are guys who actually drive from nor cal for so cal meets. maybe one day we could get NECO, SHO, CEG and FOCI to come together in peaceful unity and harmony....

I'm totally down... I live right next to LAX. We could do a cruise up PCH to Malibu, and take the drive through Topanga Canyon.... it's a very nice drive. Anyhow, just a thought.
But yeah, OC, LBC, Huntington, Laguna, wherever.

I'd be down with the LBC, but OC is going too far out for me, especially Southern OC, were all the other suggested meet sites were.

Well, why don't we just set a date and time, kinda the "if you build it, they will come" theory.
Just an idea, I'd say mid July, on a Saturday. What does everyone think? We can zero in on a date and once a date is agreed upon, we can dial in a location.

i nominate sunday im down to drive to just about anywhere within 100 or so miles but saturdays are often booked for me. and lets make it something that will be worth the drive for everyone, not to just hang out for an hour...

Sundays work for me too, SVT. What kind of ideas do you have about what to do to make it worth the drive for everyone? I'd be welcome to hear any/all ideas that people have. I was thinking we can all meet somewhere, then all caravan to another venue and have a late lunch or something.
Thanks for your input.

If you wanna do a Sunday in Mid July; the 17th would be good for me. My wife doesn't have class in SLO that weekend. I know great dive areas and Parks in Northern LA county, but not Souther LA county or the OC. Although Griffith Park is always a nice drive. And plenty of areas to park and picnic.

That's a good date for me, nothing planned. Griffith Park is a nice drive, altho I think the observatory is still closed for remodeling. MattyK suggested a PCH cruise up thru Malibu, I think that's a great idea. We can meet near the Santa Monica Pier and then head north, up Malibu, thru Topanga Canyon? What does everyone else think. We're starting to get some things firmed up as far as a date and a venue, this could be a cool thing with good participation! ~C
