Vehicle is '95 Mystique w/ Zetec. The car has sat for a couple months while I tended to other things, and now I'm going through everything to get it fully road worthy again. Bottom line, I've got an over-voltage issue - it's putting out ~16 volts until I start throwing everything on to pull some power down, but still too much. I'm figuring it's the Voltage Regulator, which unlike the old days, is buried inside the alternator. I can get an alternator cheap enough at the U-Pull-It junkyard that I'll likely just do that. Given that, two questions...
1) What's the quickest way to get the alternator out. Looks like it's buried in there pretty good.
2) What year-range can supply a replacement? Zetec motors only? Any other donor vehicles have the same part?
