You used to own a G35C right? The interior on those is cheap as hell too.

uh - am i misreading something, or are you making a direct comparison between an infiniti G35 interior and a saturn VUE interior?

yes, i did own a G35c, and while the interior is not necessarily up to par with other mid-$30k cars, it is waaayyyy above the fisher price VUE interior.

there's cheap, and then there's "not as nice as its competitors". the VUE is cheap; the G35 just isn't (or wasn't - the '05 revisions largely address this) up to par with the other players in that price class.

though, quite frankly, i was never disappointed with the tactile quality of the G35. it did develop squeaks and rattles, but the leather seemed fine to me, the dash plastics didn't feel like they were from the walmart toy aisle, and the switches and controls were acceptable as well.

i don't need connolly leather, wool carpeting, and inlaid birds-eye maple to feel like i'm sitting in an interior of acceptable quality. however, when i feel like i'm sitting in a $25k little tikes cozy coupe, i think there's a problem.
