As far as that stuff goes, I don't think the global audience will blame that behavior on Americans per se... in addition to many foreigners being at the race and participating in the debris-throwing, there is also a history of unruly behavior in other countries at other types of sporting events. But I'd agree it's unfortunate it had to happen at this race.

The difference there is the idiots who go to football matches and up in a fight actually went there to fight England get threatened every year with getting kicked out of Europe,it happened in Euro 2004 and with the World cup being in Germany(!) next year...........well......that will kick off again big style Throwing a full can of beer at a car travelling @ 200MPH is just a little silly though isn't it?
