Another interesting point brought up by the announcers, was that after resurfacing the track this year, they had to cancel IRL practive prior tp the Indy 500. Then they had the race w/out any problems. Well, since Bridgestone is sister companies with Firestone, that maybe they had some prior knowledge of what to plan for and used some of Firestone's findings to develop their tire for Indy. I don't mean cheating in any way, just a slight heads up.
I did find it odd that Lil Schui wrecked in almost the exact same place as last year. It did fair well for the new wall though. Last year (w/ Williams/ BMW) he had to be pout on a backboard, this year he walked away. Proves the wall works!
Does anybody else think Michael should have been black flagged for his exit of pit-lane? Or did the FIA not want to hurt themselves anymore by black-flagging their poster-child. Some food for thought.
