Yeah, but when my wife's ob-gyn (who's a woman) said that she looked in depth into the pros and cons of it when she was pregnant with her own baby boy and said that the pros were more than compelling enough for her to choose it, I considered myself sold. Our son's recovery time was a couple of days, whereas a guy I know from another board had it done because it became medically necessary when he was in his twenties, I think, and he was basically incapacitated for two weeks or so.
