Yeah, but when my wife's ob-gyn (who's a woman) said that she looked in depth into the pros and cons of it when she was pregnant with her own baby boy and said that the pros were more than compelling enough for her to choose it, I considered myself sold.
I suggest you find a new OB/GYN for your wife, you're dealing with a quack. No legit doctor would recommend circumcision.

no not only is packrat the be all end all of automotive knoweledge,but now he is an expert on the human body as well..... 
just because he doesn't agree with something,we are wrong and that is that,and he suddenly becomes more of an expert than someone that is a practicing physician...

I'm touchy because it sickens me that this country continues to butcher its boys genitals due to misinformation and ridiculous old wives tales. They don't do this in Europe and they're not dropping like flies. We have this huge outcry against female circumcision and decry those backwards countries that perform it on their female children but we turn around and do something equally as vile to our male children. In this respect, we're just as backwards as those inbred backwards Middle East/Africans.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
