Ironic, isn't it?

Sorry if you read that wrong. I didn't refer to myself as a newbie. I said its the reason why newbies don't open their mouth. And for the second part... If I have to explain this then it went over your head. I was making fun of the fake that people said it was a waste of their time, then posted something anyways... kinda like I did to make fun of them in the last 4 words.

Hey, now you're getting there!

So, you didn't detect the irony in my first post, either.

You wasted the time to say you were too lazy to search, and I wasted the time to say I was too lazy to help you. That's it. It was humor. Get it?

I'm not really a search nazi. I try to help people, especially newbies, but when somebody boldly states, "I'm too lazy...," well, I just felt you deserved some flaming for that, and you know you did, too, so why argue?

Furthermore, if somebody is "afraid" to post because they think they might get gently e-chastised...I mean come on. What's the worst that could happen? They're screen name's honor is forever soiled? It's a web-forum, people!! Don't be afraid!

As for searching...It's not as if this mannerism is peculiar to CEG. I visit plenty of places and I'll tell you it is accepted as proper forum etiquette in every site I've ever visited.

Leaning your elbows on the dinner table is one thing. It is assumed by the other guests that you are unaware of proper manners, but people are ordinarily gentle.

But boldly stating "I'm too lazy to wash my hands..." at the beginning of a meal should get you evicted from the table, immediately.
