What does everyone use and recommend to clean and protect their leather in the Contour?

If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.

Where can I buy some? Another CEGer recommended Lexol to me as well.

Lexol is available at just about any parts store like Checker or Pep Boys.

My pick is Zymol leather cleaner. Results are just as good, and it is easier to mood. I've only seen the Zymol kits at Napa.

The Lexol spray conditioner and thick cleaner can be messy to use.

Got to a high end clothing store and go into the mens shoe department. Preferably Nordstroms.

Buy a nice bottle of leather cleaner/conditioner, I use Meltonian brand. I gurantee if it works for my $300 dress shoes it will do wonders for Ford Leather. Cheap also, $5 for a 6oz bottle. Other Tour owners are surprised by the feel of the leather after treatment.

There is a product that I use called "Refresh". It is available at any autoparts chain. It costs $7.00 and comes in two scents, mountain fresh and lemon. It can also be used for vinyl care, but mostly leather. I've used it for a month and notice a difference already. The cleaner moisturises the leather. I've noticed cracks in leather have already disappeared, even though I only have 8,500 miles on it.

Never used it myself, but "3M" always makes a good product so...

I have been using "Tanner's Preserves" after I was turned onto it by some one that used it to restore old WW-II Bomber jackets. Great stuff! Just can't find it anymore. Probably go to Lexol now... (Would try the 3M stuff but scented seats aren't my thing )

Use some saddle soap to clean it, and then Zaino "Leather in a Bottle" to treat it. It was rated #1 leather care product by one of the big Corvette clubs out there.

I use lexol with good results. For what it is worth, lexol makes a vinyl product called vinylex I think, and I really like that for my vinyl/rubber work. I use it on my tires to get that 'brand new' as opposed to 'dripping wet' look.

Actually, I have found that to clean use the Doc Martens Wonder Balsam. Made for shoes, but is unbelievable! Then use the Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner. It is inexpensive and works well on my 2001 Infiniti I30t. Armor All isn't bad but it's a bit slippery. Shines a lot though. Many people use Meguiar's leather material stuff and like it. Their car cleaning stuff is nice IMHO.
