Give things patience and time. I'm not too pleased with some of the BS I pulled in college and high-school, but I've moved on from that lifestyle, got lucky and found a woman that had a lot of understanding and forgiveness in her. Neither one of us were paragons of virtue, but some of the wild and hairy nights in my past certainly had her eyebrows scraping the ceiling...

I certainly wouldn't jump into anything real quick, but give things a chance if there is a real bond. I admire honesty, especially in someone that volunteered damaging information up front. It shows a fair amount of maturity and responsibility, unless I'm totally reading things wrong (wouldn't be the first time)...
