I haven't had much of an issue, because I never open the trunk when it is raining. I usually just make a mad dash for the door when it rains. Whatever is in the trunk is not important enough for me to get more wet because of it.

You've probably solved this problem by now, but why not get a 15" grill and just screw it to the MDF face?

I will probably just end up getting an eclipse brand grille. I haven't found any I liked anyways. Oh yeah....hooray fo reviving an old thread!
