You cannot seriously be comparing rape vs pressure to join the military, can you?

Let's see, you said you were pressured, yet in your first post you did exactly what I said -- you told the recruiter that you were planning on a military career later on in life -- that gave him hope. As I said before, recruiters simply do not waste time badgering people who they have no hope of enlisting -- like you seem to believe.


? ? I think my analogy stands up just fine.?  I made it as clear as I could that I was not going to join the Army, and I wanted him to leave me alone.?  He continued to harass me, in spite of repeated requests and demands that he stop.?  Not until I threatened to press charges did he finally leave me alone.

? ? You say that by stating an intend to pursue a military career in the future, in a different branch, I was somehow indicating that I was interested in joining the Army, now, through him??  Haven't I heard it claimed that by wearing a short skirt, and a low-cut top, a woman is expressing interest in sexual intercourse with whomever's eye she happens to catch??  And in both cases, our clearly saying "No!?  Leave me the Hell alone!â? doesn't count for anything??  Other than you, is there still anyone in our society who accepts such an excuse?

? ? About this, I only know what my friend told me, filtered through 20+ years of fading memory.?  I do know that one way or another, he got out of the contract he was coerced into signing.
