I politely told him that I had different plans for my life, which eventually involved going into the Air Force.? He wouldn't give up, and the calls became more frequent, and more aggressive.
? ? Finally, I told him that his conduct had crossed the line into outright harassment, and that if he didn't knock it off, I was going to see to it that criminal charges were pressed against him.? His last words to me were â??F___ you!â?, then he hung up and didn't bother me again.
? ? I later learned that a close friend of mine had been persuaded by this same recruiter to go to some event in Los Angeles, where he was coerced into signing up under the threat that if he didn't, he was going to just be left there, hundreds of miles from home, with no way of getting back.
