I have a lot of respect for anyone who joins the military and serves their country. Some people can�t get through the first day of basic training so serving in the military and getting an honorable discharge is a big accomplishment. I almost didn't get into the military because of medical problems. The military has high standards.

The parent seems to have a poor attitude for not wanting their son to join the military.
