Are you saying that there is only 1 recruiter out there? Hey, every job has someone that really takes things to extremes.
Its certainly a possibility that a couple recruiters went bad. Just because you had a positive experience doesn't mean that everyone will.
Additionally, you had an out. You had a 20K scholarship, so they didn't have much leverage on you. This kid comes from a poor farm where college money is probably a huge incentive. Additionally, recruiters are probably under significantly more pressure now than ever before.
