The rest is pretty easily explainable by the fact that a fuel-laden aircraft flying at 530MPH striking a building tends to vaporize itself, unlike a slower plane with less fuel crashing into the ground. Also, most people have never seen anything traveling at 530MPH that low to the ground, which is why they said it looked like a missile. And they've never heard jet engines at high RPMs from close range from the outside, either - same deal.
