finally some pics!
i used some 1/4" white nylon plugs from ace hardware @ $.40/ea. (these guys)
then, held with needlenose, i painted them with touchup paint
painted plug (with mirko bolts parked next to it for comparison)...
and here's the plugs installed on a dirty car!
next are the mirko bolts....
i used some aluminum bolts from ace hardware (@ $.80/ea.). you'll find that there are shorter ones, but this is all they had, so i had to use a nut to shim it out....
you'll notice one side has a flat head, one doesn't. i personally used the flat head side on the inside for a cleaner look. it adds about 30 seconds to the install time.

and thats it! $50 worth of bumper plugs for $1.20 (or $7.00 including touchup) and quick release for a mirko that doesn't involve nasty dzus fastners (sorry staz)!
