Hey, we Ohio folk hate those stupid front plates as much as everyone else does. Trust me, if we could get rid of them, we would. They ruin the looks of the front end of just about every car. They also are a insect magnet. They also require brackets and mounting hardware for a lot of cars.

However, we can't get rid of them. Ohio's state legislature insists that we keep them for some stupid reason or another. We've tried to get the laws changed to no avail. So we started coming up with ways to avoid the front plate. Some of us have just tried not using a front plate. This doesn't work because you will get pulled over for it, and the ticket is pretty hefty. Some of us put it on our dashboard in the lower passenger's side corner. That won't work either, you still get a ticket. You can't even mount it somewhere like in the lower grille, because then it's not visible enough.

So, if you chose to buy a car that came from Ohio, and the person you bought it from wasn't made of money to pay tickets, chances are you'll have the holes. You'll just have to live with them. Be glad you don't have to live with the stupid plate.
