I trust you are an expert, and I realize that article is a bit dated. You telling me I can get a new Kirkham for 48-60k? Oh, wait, that's minus engine.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the FFR basic kit comes in under $13k. Donor parts, etc. can net you a decent example for under $20k, and $25k gives you plenty of extras, IF you build it yourself, shop smart, etc. And that's a finished product, not a shell.
